[Lee Kuan Yew] also defended the policy of promoting marriage between highly-educated Singaporeans, a policy seen by critics as a form of social engineering, and dismissed the notion of love at first sight.

“People get educated, the bright ones rise, they marry equally well-educated spouses. The result is their children are likely to be smarter than the children of those who are gardeners,” he said.

Some of the things that I do not miss:

1) coming back to the hotel with dirty black feet

2) the horrible traffic jams

3) cab/tuktuk drivers who are always out to scam us

4) getting kicked out of the cab because the driver was too lazy to make a u-turn

5) air pollution

Two things that I'll definitely miss:

1) insane amount of shopping

2) all the cheap good food (!!)

Dad: If a guy really likes you, he would do whatever it takes to be yours. You see, there are two kinds of "being interested".

One is, when a guy likes you but has his heart open to other girls. This is the kind that isn't so serious about being serious.

I am quite convinced I'm some sort of a genius who managed to get Bs and Cs for finals when I failed terribly in all my midterms. Or maybe it's the amazing moderation.

When asked what was her favourite moment in junior masterchef, Sofia said "standing here knowing that my beautiful sister is in the top two", that made me tear. Hurhur I'm such a loser.

Hi, the boyfriend says I need to be more active on my blog so hence the post.

In a couple of days time I'm going to be a uni-dropout. True story. I don't think I can continue studying physics? I will just die D: I would probably be da pao-ing all my mods to the next semester, which means I would be taking more than the usual 4 years to graduate. And why put myself through the misery again right?

I find that generally I'm a live-in-the-moment kinda girl, that nothing in the future tends to matter when I'm stuck in the present. Ummm and now my future seems so bleak? Good luck to me.

On a happier note, I'll be off to Bangkok in a week's time!! Which is also the start of the boyfriend's hell week hahaha. Speaking of which, he has been so accommodating to my nonsense and horrible temper. Going on movie dates, having an overload of ramen, webcam-ing even though we just saw each other a couple of hours ago, and every single minute spent was really the best. (as if he doesn't already know haha)

Okay gonna continue watching junior masterchef!

I can't believe I've been spending the last 4 days (including today) at home, cooped up in my room watching my serials. I am fast becoming a couch potato D:
