here's to a whole new year of love, good company and happiness.

So 2010 has finally gone (it was really fast) and 2011 is here! 2010 was definitely a good year, with new friendships formed, albeit some lost along the way, strong friendships which grew even stronger, gastronomic experiences and much much more fun.

And despite the little upsets here and there, I'm glad I had those who matter to make it all better (:

To sum 2010 up, I would say I was content. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't do it any differently. Maybe except for school.

For many of us, we start this new year with resolutions. For me, I don't do resolutions. Not because I can't keep them, but because why would you need resolutions to achieve something you really wanted?

So i start 2010 with one hope, to be happy. And I hope for everyone that they will too, in their own way, be happy :>

to my dear boyfriend

1) because you always rub my hands when they are cold

2) because you let me snooze on your crevice and you wrap your arms around me

3) because you kiss me on the forehead everytime you send me home

4) because you always hold my hand whenever I'm with you

5) because you sound so excited&chirpy everyday when you call (even though I know you hate talking on the phone)

6) because you never fail to make me laugh with your cold jokes

7) because you always carry my shopping bags without being asked to

8) because you always let me have the first bite of whatever you ordered

9) because whenever I'm happy/sad, you are the first person that I go to

10) because you make me feel like your princess

11) because you never complain while waiting for me to get ready

12) because you let me take silly photos of you/us

13) because your promises always do come true

14) because you put up with my nonsense

15) because you like hanging out with my friends

16) because you're willing to do things to make me happy

17) because of your daily "I love you" texts

18) because its not everyday someone so awesome walks into your life

So this was us right before we checked out and had plenty of time to spare. Took about a gazzillion shots of us pretending to have pillow fights, lying on the bed, posing like korean girl wannabes etc and a lot of jumping and moving, so much so that our bed slided from the centre of the room to the other end.

Of love and friendships

Christmas this year left me feeling warm&fuzzy inside out.

Brunch-ed at Hatched with JJ, the bf, MK and Siew tin in the day and steamboat for dinner with the bffflutd.

When I'm procrastinating or bored, I like looking at old photos.

I look at the smiles/funny faces and try remembering how I must have felt then.

Sometimes it's easy because that particular moment was so memorable that it left such a huge impact. So significant that I can even remember details of what ensued. Sometimes its hard because what's captured in that picture is so limited, a fleeting second of a bigger moment.

But then I look and I see the smiles plastered on our faces and I know that it must have been a happy moment. They say that photos aren't a true reflection of what really goes on in ones life, but I say, at least they provide some form of reference.

And although they only reflect joy, smiles and happiness, I'd very much rather look back on my life and see the blissful moments. Because life really is too damn short to be miserable.

So for those people who scorn at us, labeling us dismissively as 'camwhores', well at least I have beautiful memories to remember my life by. What do you have, huh?

You see, I have certain issues when it comes to photo taking. If I'm too near the camera or if it's not my angle then I will block my face out. Sorry, too vain.

Finally at the pool! We were there too early and the room wasn't ready so we had to lug our barangs to the pool since the sun was out and we're dying to get in.

I need to take "getting up and balancing on a hammock 101 lessons". They had a good time laughing at me because I kept screaming (?) not scream la, shriek? Whatever. I didn't dare to let go of the hammock the entire time I was on it because I was so afraid that I would fall over. Bimbo moment #1

60sgd a night for a room like this, not too shabby huh.

At this point of time my sunnies broke. Like right smack in the middle ): Had to get through the rest of the day by squinting my puny eyes away. Note to self: bring 2 sunnies next time.

After dinner drinks. Here's us with an obligatory photo with our tequila shots. Yummeh.

This is our favourite activity. We kept eating and eating and eating non-stop because time was passing too slowly.

Actually between you and me, Bintan is a SERIOUSLY boring place. No shopping no water activities = BORING. But with the right company, it won't be that bad!
