tell me what to feel
"Just because I’m quiet, doesn’t mean I don’t have a lot to say.
Just because I appear happy, doesn’t mean everything is okay. Just because I’m sarcastic, doesn’t mean i don’t take things seriously. Just because I forgive, doesn’t mean I forget. Just because I don’t listen to your problems, doesn’t mean I don’t care. Just because I’m gullible, doesn’t mean I can be cheated. Just because I’m stubborn, doesn’t mean I’m not easy going. Just because I don’t study, doesn’t mean I’m stupid. Just because I don’t show my feelings, doesn’t mean I don’t have any. Just because I’m honest, doesn’t mean I’m outspoken. Just because I’m not like you, doesn’t mean I’m weird. Just because I’m unsure, doesn’t mean I’m afraid." |

Was there something you were afraid of as a child that just seems silly to you now?
The dark. No kidding. I slept in my parent's room till I was 13. Imagine 4 people all cooped up in one room. The maid was sleeping in one of the other rooms and there was still another empty room but I refused to sleep alone. Why?
My dad LOVES watching black&white malay horror films. They freaked the shit out of me. Figuratively duhh. He has to watch them at night in the bedroom when we're all going to bed. There's this wall lamp at the dressing table so it sort of cast a shadow on the ceiling and it took the shape of a hood. And guess who thought that the "hood" was a ghost? Yes I know, I used to be such a scaredy cat. I'm not afraid of the dark anymore. We grow up and get past all these phases. Y'know what really scares me now? Failure. |

the moment of truth
Watching "The moment of truth" right now and the truth is, I think the show really does suck. It's entertaining watching these people answering 21 questions truthfully to win half a million bucks BUT the concept behind it is warped. The things people do for money and their one minute of fame.
Disturbing but I guess you can add honesty to the list of things money can buy. Would you be willing to tell people the truth? Revealing stuff you didn't want your spouse/family/friends to know, which may even destroy your relationship with them for half a million? |

cosmic love
"Sometimes in life there really are bonds formed that can never be broken.
Sometimes you really can find that one person who will stand by you no matter what. Maybe you will find it in a spouse and celebrate it with your dream wedding. But there's also the chance that the one person you can count on for a lifetime, the one person who knows you sometimes better than you know yourself is the same person who's been standing beside you all along." -- Bride Wars |

GUESS WHO GOT INTO NTU
Yes finally, no more sleepless nights worrying about my future. At least for the next four years.
So happy and I can't stop smiling to myself :D Hello Siew Tin, good luck to you. You'll be seeing me for the next four years starting this august. Hi Kenny, you'll be my junior in two years time yay. I remember telling everyone that I would become a nerd if I got into NTU and forfeit my weekends staying at home to study. Watch me. Studious Sarah ftw. ![]() And by the way, if you want to find out who I think is the cutest person around, CLICK HERE. Going for my prom dress fitting tomorrow, excites! |

I am happy because...
1) My pops looked so much better today and he will be discharged in 3 weeks time! He hasn't been home for too long.
2) I AM FINALLY GETTING OUT OF SG AND WILL BE GOING TO TAIWAN THIS JULY WITH MY BESTFRIEND AND BOYFRIEND :D 3) I bought my prom dress and am very certain that there will not be any same/similar dresses. YAY. No twin sisters for sure. 4) Pay day in a week's time. 5) Collecting the photos from my eximus tomorrow, cannot wait to see how they turn out. Okay I really can't think of anymore reasons but I'm still happy ^^ - Frank Zappa says: If you wind up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on TV telling you how to do your shit, then YOU DESERVE IT. |

waste my money waste my money waste my money
I wore my new wedges out to work today AND THE TIP OF THE SOLE CAME OFF?!!!!!
OMG I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW (even though I brought along an extra pair of flats just for emergency) THERE GOES MY 32.90SGD INTO THE DRAIN. I tried walking in them last night and they felt okay, BUT when I wore them this morning, I had serious trouble walking in them, they were so loose that I felt like I was going to trip, no wait, I think I did. So embarassing. |

If only you know how I'm feeling right now
"Someone once told me that the power in all relationships lies with whoever cares less, and he was right. But power isn’t happiness, and I think that maybe happiness comes from caring more about people rather than less."

interview at ntu
So this was what took place earlier this morning at NTU:
Prof Huan: So your name is Sarah Fang, Fang Zhi'En? Me: Yes, good morning sir. Prof Huan: Show me your transcript. (proceeds to pass my transcript to him) Prof Huan: You did very well for math. But why is it you do well for certain subjects and don't do well for some when they are pretty similar? Me: (I smile damn widely at this point because I didn't know how to answer his question.) The entire interview mainly consisted of me hemming and hawwing, nodding, going "mmm ahhh okay mmm ahhh" and asking him various questions about the course. He even wrote down a list of books to buy what seniors to look for to get the books and told Siew Tin and I to come for the refresher course this coming June. I TELL YOU IF I NEVER GET IN, I AM GOING TO BE VVVVVV SAD BECAUSE HE REALLY MADE ME GET MY HOPES UP. Ohh and I forgot to mention, we took about nearly 40 minutes to locate the School of Physical and Mathematical Science. I wish I had someone or somewhere to run to, away from the things that hurt me the most. |
