Still remember how your first crush looked like?

I had my first crush when I was five or was it six, whatever doesn't matter.
I forgot his name but I still remember what he looks like, it's hard to remember things when you're that young and still have large parts of your brain under developed. He's very fair (like me), cute and has the coolest hair. We never talked to each other before, I think? I "liked" him for a pretty long time, about a couple of weeks, maybe about 2-3 weeks when we were practicing aka dancing (too bad he wasn't my partner) for a performance. (mm 2-3 weeks is quite long, considering it being some kindergarten puppy love thingamajig. But he wasn't into me ): Why man. Why didn't he like me? Back then I looked so innocent, fair with rosy red cheeks and I had this really cute hair-do (not that I look horrible now haha).

When I was in primary school, there were 4 guys who "proposed" to me with gifts! How cheeky and cute is that! I received a comb (wth, you expect me to like you just because you gave me a comb?! No way.) , a bottle of perfume (I secretly think that he stole it from his mother or sister), an autograph book and stickers. Cool eh?

They used to say things like "I like you and I want to marry you", but we pretty much forget all about it after that. Why? Because we're only 10 years old and I don't have raging hormones.

I had a number of crushes while growing up, probably about 10 or 15 haha if you included Wu Ke Qun, Alex Su, Robert Pattinson and Chuck ? Yes 10, but they're all short ones. And so, yep first crush at 5/6 and my first boyfriend at 14. I made quite a number of mistakes while growing up, boy mistakes, some of which pretty much sucked.

What would you do to find out if the guy you liked was into you? (Ahem very useful tips here)

1) Add them on facebook
-Before we had facebook, there was friendster, so yes I've done that. Don't judge, even if you didn't add them, you must have at least tried searching for them at the search engines or who knows, maybe even googled them. Please make sure that your crush knows that you exist, or you'll come across as too desperate. Or if it's some guy that you've gotten to know recently, do not add them immediately because that is an act of desperation. So, just wait for them to add you or add them only after a week or two and pretend that you didn't type their name in the search engines.

2) Get their MSN
-It's kinda easy to get their MSN because every one's using it. Once you've got it, awesome, time to start getting to know your crush better. The more you talk to them the better things get because then you could really see if the guy's into you. Make sure you use the best photo of you in your display picture, first looks always count! And don't ever give your number until he asks for it. Don't be so brazen, you cheap thing! If you've had numerous conversations with him and he still doesn't show you any sign that he likes you and starts to treat you like you're just one of his pals, he's just not that into you.

3) Stalk them on their blog or on tweeter
-You're already on his list of friends in facebook, started talking on MSN and now find out if he has a blog so that you can see/read what his life is like, who his friends are, what he does during the weekends, what he likes etc. Now you know what to talk to him about (actually you should be able to talk to him about anything) and will never run out of topics unless that guy is a boring douche.

4) Just talk to them
-Most guys are somewhat friendly so just talk to them. Be yourself and it should work (:

But crushes and me never did work out even if we did talk on MSN almost every night, texting each other once in a while, wrong timing I suppose.

Crushes often come in the form of perfect pretty things that you admire from afar, you know it's like lust at first sight. You wanted to scream out "HEY! I REALLY LIKE YOU!!!!!!" or something of that nature. Yet at the same time you fear that they don't like you and you feel you'll die if you said it. You blush when they walked pass you, gush and giggle among your girlfriends about how hot he is, get totally embarrassed when you do something stupid in front of him and they make you heart go bopbopbop.

And the thing with crushes is that you will always have that perfect memory of them in your mind and it's there to stay and it will always be that way because that is why you liked them in the first place. That is the difference between relationships and crushes, because if things do not work out, you'd/he be demonizing the other party and all the once amazing things you've ever thought about them are gone within a snap.

It's okay to dream about your crush, because I always do! AHHH WU KE QUN...so dreamy.
