went for the RP invitational canoeing race yesterday at lower seletar.
met wen hao and steph and we took a train down to khatib.
the journey was so long and we were carying our paddles, no doubt there were people staring at us.
we were late so we had to run from the mrt station to the reservoir.
reached there and i was told that i was in the first heat.
steph asked me if i was nervous, i said no.
then she said: eh please lor you are nervous.i can see it from your face.that act guai face.
LOL.
i was nervous because the rest were from nyp, np, sp and rp.
most of them had two years of experience and i'm a pathetic noob with only 7 plus months of training.
no doubt i came in last for the first heat for women's t1 out of the five girls.
but after the second heats for women's t1, the timings were out and I WASN'T THE LAST (:
i was the sixth out of the ten girls.
the first and second for both heats went straight into the finals.
the rest had to go for the semi finals.
and guess what, i wasn't the last again.
yoyo was a position ahead of me.G double O D JOB.
sam and chrys were not that bad either.chrys made it to the finals.the only tp student to get into the finals.the rest were disqualified as they capsized halfway.
but it's not too bad as it was our first race (:
damien said:we're just like singapore at the olympics.we're still noobs, but we can train harder and improve.someday we'll be like them and maybe, even better.
nyp and rp are damn good.
we'll have to train much harder then!

though we're a small team as compared to nyp, rp, sp and np, we're bonded and can beat them someday.
don't just paddle.love it (:
